Engr. Abayomi Agbogun is the Lead Construction Engineer at RFS. He started his working career with Suffolk Petroleum Services Limited, Port Harcourt, Rivers State in 2000 as a Construction Engineer. He has worked for several companies including MI Drilling Fluid Company Limited, Nidro Oil & Gas International Limited, West African Venture Limited, Visco Production Support Services Limited and ExxonMobil in Nigeria. He retired from Contract Services with ExxonMobil Nigeria as Senior Construction Engineer in March 2020. During his working career, he gained extensive working experience in Oil and Gas Projects including: Offshore Topside Life Extension, Platform Restoration, Slot Addition to existing WHP, Pigging Facilities Upgrade, Pipeline and Deepwater facilities maintenance, Inspection and Repairs Projects within MPN Fields in Nigeria; Okan Final Upgrade Project, Transportation & Installation Project and Escravos LPG FSO Wet Tow Project at Chevron Field in Nigeria; KC Facilities Upgrade Project and Offshore Gas Gathering Pipeline Projects for SPDC Nigeria; Okoro Setu Well Head Platform Installation project for Afren Energy Resources; Offshore Pipeline and Loading Platform Project for Global Gas and Refining Company. He has extensive brownfield/greenfield working experiences covering high-pressure systems, sweet/sour services, live platform, shutdown planning and shutdown construction execution.
Engr. Abayomi Agbogun received his Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State in 1998. He completed his mandatory National Youth Service Corp at MI Drilling Fluid Port Harcourt, Rivers State in February 2000. Trained in Load-out, Lifting and Installation Analysis for various offshore construction activities: Pipeline, Modules, Deck Frames and Process Equipment Installations at Zeetech Engineering Holland in 2008.
He is a COREN certified Engineer and member of Nigeria Society of Chemical Engineers. He is also trained in Operator’s Work Management System up to the level of an Approving Authority.
